The Canadian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy
The Canadian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy (CJHP) is a peer reviewed, scientific journal that focuses on how pharmacists in hospitals and other collaborative health care settings optimize safe and effective drug use for patients in Canada and throughout the world.
We are happy to highlight some of the many accomplishments of CJHP over our 12-year history:
- 2009 – CSHP partnered with Multimed to launch CJHP online through Open Journal Systems, including the uploading of nearly 20 years of archives and subscription-based access.
- 2009 – CJHP is accepted for inclusion in PubMed and archived in PubMed Central.
- New website 2020 – Multimed worked closely with the CSHP team to upgrade to OJS 3, which provided the CJHP’s site with a fresh design, new functionalities, and an improved user experience.
- 2020 – Multimed worked with the CSHP team to transition their submission and peer review system to the OJS platform
Meet the Editor of CJHP…
Dr. Shalansky is the Clinical Coordinator of the Pharmacy Department at Providence Health Care and is a clinical professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy in 1986 and completed a hospital pharmacy residency at Vancouver General Hospital in 1987. Dr. Shalansky graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1989. He has worked as a clinical pharmacy specialist in intensive care and cardiology, directed the pharmacy research program at St. Paul’s Hospital, and has been the Director of Pharmacy at Vancouver Coastal Health. Dr. Shalansky was an associate editor of the Canadian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy (CJHP) from 1995 to 2000 before becoming CJHP’s Editor in Chief in 2016. He has published over 100 manuscripts and abstracts in pharmacy practice and received numerous awards for his research and clinical practice.
